Dot NAME Domains

Launched in 2001, the .NAME top-level domain name extension is the only one planned for personal websites only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are popular by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wanted to purchase john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired 3rd-level domains remained functional.

Through our company, you can purchase your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to edit the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registration service provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been done. There are no specific rules on who can book a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the idea behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
