Access Log Manager
Find out about the Access Log Manager as well as the details that will be inside.
An access log is a text file which contains a full list of all of the files accessed by your Internet site visitors. All the files which were requested in one way or another shall be included, so when you have a PHP script program and a visitor opens only the home page, for instance, you might find numerous files in the log. This is because there are elements on the home page which are embedded - parts of other Internet pages, graphics, and so on. These files will be listed in the access log, so you're able to get a full picture of the way your site functions. The information is in plain text format, so the logs are frequently referred to as "raw data" too. An access log shows the name of each requested file, the path to it, the date it was accessed, and also the user’s IP address, browser and OS. More info, including the referrer website, is usually supplied as well. A log file may be processed by various desktop applications for statistical purposes as an addition to the web stats provided by your hosting server.

Access Log Manager in Shared Hosting
Our custom Hepsia CP has a section dedicated to various logs and the access logs are among them. Once you sign in to your
shared hosting account and take a look at this section, you shall find a list of all the
domain names and subdomains that you have. All it takes to permit the generation of access logs is to press a button which will be available next to each domain/subdomain. If the option is enabled, you'll see a download link along with the file size so far, so you shall be able to save the file to your computer and look at it or process it with some application. Enabling or disabling the logs takes effect instantaneously, so if you don't need one, you'll be able to stop it with just a mouse click from the exact same section of the Control Panel. You'll still be able to access the already generated content by clicking on the Download link.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
If you have a
semi-dedicated server account with our company, it won't take more than a few mouse clicks to trigger the generation of access logs by our system if you require them. The feature may be permitted from the Hepsia hosting Control Panel and this could be done separately for each and every domain name or subdomain you have within your account. As soon as you log in and navigate to the Access/Error Logs section of the CP, you will find a list of all the hostnames with an On/Off button next to each of them. One click shall enable the log generation and another one will deactivate it, so you can control this function with great ease. A Download link within the same section will allow you to save the gathered content as a text file, which you can then use on your computer. Even when the logs are disabled, you'll still be able to download the data that has been previously generated.
